The general principles of precision parts processing route mainly include the following four points:

1. Benchmark first

That is, the datum plane shall be machined first. During the machining process, the surface as the positioning datum shall be machined first, so as to provide the precision datum for the subsequent process as soon as possible.

2. Divide processing stages

The surfaces with high machining quality requirements are divided into machining stages, which can generally be divided into three stages: rough machining, semi finishing and finishing. The main purpose is to ensure the machining quality, facilitate the scientific application of equipment, facilitate the arrangement of heat treatment procedures, and find blank defects in time.

3. Face before hole

For parts such as box, support and connecting rod, the plane shall be processed first and then the hole shall be processed, so that the hole can be positioned and processed with the plane to ensure the position accuracy of the plane and the hole, and bring convenience to the processing of the hole on the plane.

4. Finishing

Surface finishing, such as grinding, honing, finishing and rolling, shall be placed at the end of the process route.
